Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hi, has anyone done this course and what does it entail?
    Would I need to bring outdoor gear for the weekend?

    It is mostly indoors, no hikes or anything like that.
    We did Skills outside but we didn't go far.

    Not being SI (and therefore not being familiar with SI training) what does the course involve?

    It's fairly new. Some programme elements, programme delivery, and safeguarding.

    Depends on the location and weather/time of year this can be a camping overnight or an indoor. Haven't been on it but have heard great reports.

    I answered this already. Programme delivery, programme training and safeguarding. Your group or county trainer has the full course details. It's a mandatory course before you can become a scouter.
