Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    The stratiform cloud appears to be breaking up north of Wales so tentative signs that the inversion might be dissipating..... Tentative is the key word though!

    Cold and windy with remains of overnight graupel on exposed soil but not much elsewhere. Very windy, Wales shadow doing its job with some clear sky overhead for the first time in days. Currently 1.9C with little diurnal change expected.

    Winds fairly light and starting to brighten off from the East a little.

    Bitterly cold here all day, a driving biting easterly wind, a few showers of graupel,
    grey skies, anything that was lying has been blown into the ditches.
    Wondering if the upcoming battle between the Easterly Cold air and the Atlantic Low is similar to the 1982 big snow that brought a large epic snowfall to the east?
