Just had a rasher sandwich before seeing this thread. Hadn't even thought about it until then.

No, I'm just not that way inclined.

An anxious pontiff - Vatican City, yesterday - monitoring the media as news breaks of mass outbreaks of defiant impending meat consumption amongst Irish neckbeards:

For most people who will eat meat today, it's not about being defiant.

Not adhering to a religious practice isn't a protest against that religion if it's something you generally do every day anyway. If people eat meat today, it may just be because they eat meat anyway.

Ham in a sandwich at lunch time and will be minced beef in a meal tonight.

I'm a vegetarian but make a point of eating meat today and Good Friday.

Do sausage rolls count? I mean, there can't be that much pork in them?

Had some leftover meatballs and pasta sauce for lunch and thought to myself "Yeah, take that Jesus!" with every bite.

I'm some tough man I am. I shoot from the hip and call it like it is.
