"This year, the list includes a Peppa Pig playset, a twerking llama  as well as toys from Paw Patrol, Lego and LOL Surprise. They will all be available to buy at Argos from July 27, with the exception of a Toy Story toy which is available in stores now."

Me, I would love the LEGO Harry Potter Night Bus !
    Owleez also looks cute.

    Sure !
But I guess business caught up with the fact that people are budgeting and buying earlier and earlier to spread the cost, and therefore business adapted to make the most from that trend.

Picked up a 'Christmas Street' jigsaw for the folks which was on offer in a shop near me. They love doing jigsaws around Christmas, New Years.

A jigsaw is a great Christmas present! I got Mr. CL one last year & once the kids were in bed, we'd take it out, glass of vino & have the chats. It was really lovely, rather than just sitting gawking at the telly or our phones :D

    Exactly.

The folks dining room table is covered in lego trains for 10 months of the years. My Mum makes my Dad put them away around mid December and the jigsaws come out (also they have all the family around for New Years day meal, to end off the Christmas season). Anyone who comes to the house always ends up sitting at the table doing a bit of jigsaw, drink in hand. Recently as the grandkids have got old enough, there is a couple of kids ones on the go as well.

It one of my favourite things about Christmas time.

We got a set of 5 x 1000 piece christmas jigsaws last year with the intention of doing 1 every year in the build up. But hand on heart the one we started was so difficult we gave up after a month & still barely having quarter of it done. It was by far the hardest jigsaw I have ever attempted to put together.
Will try one of the other ones this year & see how far I get but if its anything like the forst one I wouldnt hold out much hope for completing it.

We had this great idea last year and we nearly killed one another. Maybe 1000 pieces was to ambitious!

I have seen jigsaws get competitive and addictive.........

I'm lucky that my Dad likes Christmas a lot as well. Goes all out with the decorations etc.

The big lit up snowman that goes over the garage use to be the guiding beacon back in my younger/drunker nights when staggering home!

True, but in a way would be nice to know the Santa gifts now and finalize the list. Last year and the year before the Santa list changed ( one or two things) very last minute, was very stressed trying to get the stuff and these were popular toys ended up they were sold out so had to get the next best thing.

But you are right it’s bloody marketing and kids want what their friends are getting or this big in Vogue toy. Parents are left hair brained and not wanting to disappoint their kids.

    Range preview: Tesco Christmas 2019

"a host of new additions catering for those with allergies or following vegetarian or vegan diets, as well as products that simply provided for an array of tastes, such as its double stuffed turkey breast with both sweet and savoury stuffing."

I would love the "Create your own Drunken Cheese" and the "Christmas Tree Chocolate Pots"
