There’ll be a constant drip of this happening, unfortunately at some stage there’s likely to be a game affected.

I wonder how the monday games will affect international fridge players, those that used to be released back to the provinces for a weekend game then back with the squad on Monday.

Munster have already released a statement saying that this week's PCR tests came back negative, so everyone other than the close contacts in in the clear.

Tough news for Munster academy lock and Waterford man Eoin O’Connor, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after knee surgery.

Loosehead James French is out until December after a neck procedure.

What ye make of the supporters club pack this year?

What ye make of the supporters club pack this year?

Car sticker is good and small, was running out of space :D

As for the rest, they clearly can't flog the orange jersey and the face covering thing, that can also be used as a blindfold among other things, feels like a cheap pillowcase.

Ha ha. My thoughts exactly. Cant sell the home jersey so 20% discount. The snood thing is fairly pitiful

How in the name of god they didn't just use this year to give everyone a branded mask is beyond me. That snood gave my daughter belly laughs last night. Would love to see some engagement with the fans on what would be good to give out. Socks and snoods.... bring back the beanie

It's been said before, but since Munster went with the Adidas/Lifestyle monopoly the supporters club haven't given out anything that can be bought, because if you give out 5000 of them then Lifestyle will be down sales. So generally no hats, scarfs or gloves. Instead we get stupid things like the paper thin snood, ridiculous socks, luggage tags or nylon boot bags for a supports club where 70-80% or the membership is well past playing age.

Jack Crowley is named on the bench.

From my old alma mater (we don't have too many rugby pro's....although it is improving).

Really looking forward to seeing how he goes as he seems like a serious talent based on the U20's 6 Nations.

That's not a million miles away from a full strength Connacht team , Aki being the obvious omission , but otherwise that's pretty loaded.

Both sides are mental, has to be the most loaded A game in the past few years

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,000 ✭✭✭✭Caranica

Wonder how much influence the IRFU had with the 6 Nations around the corner?

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

It's an "A" game in name only. The starting XV looks close to the teams we'll see in November with the internationals away. We'll see full strength sides against Scarlets and Edinburgh so there's no harm in getting this lineup some gametime now.

Why is it even called an a game and not just a pre season friendly?

Something in sponsorship deals or partnerships somewhere about rights regarding senior matches?

Maybe the hope was Leinster and Ulster would have been playing again this week so would have had to put out A teams. So they called the whole series A fixtures.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,630 ✭✭✭✭Eod100

Not sure why they didn't schedule it for the Sunday to avoid clashing with the Champions Cup. With those teams I'm sure there would have been interest

Because its irrelevant to them and pro14 starts next Saturday so why give yourself less rest for the first competitive game of the season?

If Leinster and Ulster were still playing competitive rugby then they wouldn't have an A match this week.

This isn't an organised series it was Munster and Connacht deciding to play some pre season games...

Could have just done it Satueday evening then but yeah makes sense
