    Disappointing finish from Rory.

You'd have to feel for speith, he's just completely lost it.
Yeah, Rory's problems all coming from the tee. Fighting for par and losing more than winning. A night on the range beckons. Butch was saying his timing was out a bit.

Jordan Spieth really could be facing his first cut from the Masters if he continues like this.

    Really poor finish by McIlroy

    Terrible final put from McIlroy.

The only other time he shot over par in R1 was 2010 when he missed the cut.

You'd have to wonder if Spieth is finished at this level, been struggling for a while now

He won a major less than two years ago.

Spieth on shot tracker is all over the place.

    Masters app or Eir sports.

    don't have Eir sports either:(

He won a major less than two years ago.

    I'm well aware of that.

My point was if you look at his stats last year and this year he's clearly on a worrying slide.

Day always seems to be injured. Beware the injured golfer.

He also based his winning on draining a ridiculous amount of putts, overcoming some mediocre parts of his game. That couldn't last

Koepka is the best in the field tee to green today. If he could putt he would be leading right now.

Maybe not finished but I don't expect him back to number 1 any time soon.

He's in the woods again. Phil Mickelson must have done some weird voodoo exchange with him. ;)

I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen Day hobbling around the golf course at this stage

Saw that. Is it his hip?

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Amazing cream coming to the top so early on.

    I'd say it's psychological.

Back apparently. He's had back trouble for a long time.

    Jesus

    15 mins on tee

Doesn't help Dechambollix and hatton giving out every single putt

none of my tv options working, so relying on masters radio from the website. Old school style and still enjoyable :D

That's a brilliant chip on 15 from Koepka

You've made 10 posts in this forum - the majority of them are having a dig at Sandy Lyle. You clearly don't like him, we get it. Now don't post in here again if that's all you are going to add.

I'm not, overall, having a dig at Sandy Lyle.

I am confident that Sandy is a very fine, upstanding person, and still obviously a fine golfer. A good performance today too. My quibble is, mainly, that one of the 'majors' still has room for such a large number of no-hoper former champions in the relatively small field.

Many years ago I worked for a time on the European tour. I remember at one event, where all the competitors were given two complimentary tickets for a relatively expensive local attraction, one of them (not Sandy) came back asking if he could get yet another two freebies, for the nanny and somebody else. Given the amount of money he was earning, and what everyone else was earning while working to stage the competition, it seemed rather mean.

That guy, who often seems to do well at the Masters (as this year), was a great player, but came across as a d**k.

Is shouting Fore allowed at Augusta? Some wayward tee shots today and no one shouting Fore.

    Yes bad form.

Except this rare occasion where some of the patrons could do with a slap :p

Thought the calls of fore today were a lot better than normal.

Some were. Noticed that Spieth wasn't. Though the default position for the gallery when he's on the tee has to be duck and cover.
