Has anyone downloaded the masters app? Poor I think. No time on it as far as I can see. I didn't see any updates either though I was looking at it for about five minutes.

Dissapointing from lowry, just not at the races at all.

Yeah I found the app good, every shot live on track.

He is just not good enough. As much as I’d love him to play Ryder cup next year, he really needs to improve to contribute positively to the team.

More than good enough. Massively inconsistent though.

    Super shot by Rory

If Rory doesn’t birdie that, he is I’ll be raging!! Serious shot.

Level par after 18 will be grand.

    So therefore not good enough.

Some shot from Rory on the 15th. Through the trees and onto the green.

Not getting into a Lowry argument here but anyone who can go and win a WGC is good enough for Ryder Cup, being consistent enough to qualify a different story.

Players like Chris Wood have played Ryder Cups on the back of 1 win. Lowry a better player than him.

So close to an eagle for Rory there, but the birdie should settle him a bit at least. Very much in with a shout this week, especially with all the attention on Tiger given how well he’s playing.

I’ll agree to your point in fairness but I do t want Lowry to just be present at the Ryder cup, I want him to make a proper impression. We all know he has the talent but as you you he is brutally inconsistent. Being that guy that just makes a Ryder cup team does t work out well in the long run I think

    It's the Masters

I wouldn't be judging any golfer on his first round back at the Masters.

It's a funny tournament and course set up.

He could easily go out and be 3 or 4 under tomorrow.

Paul Casey five over after 6. For someone who was in form that’s a horrendous start.

Four bogeys and four birdies so far. Cut out a few of those bogeys and it's a different round.

Some putt by McIlroy for birdie on 16.

Good lad Rory. 1 under would be a good finish today really

And has pretty good course form too. Absolute disaster.

Thought BBC has highlights on Thursday and Friday?

Can't see anything in the schedule

Rory bogeys the 17th. Out of position from the tee and it's a bogey nine times out of ten at Augusta.

Nobody talking about DJ really. As per usual, just casually going about his business.

Think Rickie,TW and Rahm favourite after the morning session anyway

Has there ever been a Masters winner who finished day one on 3+

    I'd say yes.

    But not sure .

I think players have won it from basically cut line ?

Nobody talking about Phil Mickelson either, who's right up there with him. :D

    Disappointing finish from Rory.

You'd have to feel for speith, he's just completely lost it.

Craig Stadler in 1982, went on to win in a playoff after shooting 75 on the Thursday.
