Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Can anyone help identify this stuffed cat?

    As the title says. Stuffed big cat. He’s not much bigger than a badger. We’re not sure of the age, but one of the other animals says 1933.
    Would appreciate any help. We’re stumped 😄

    It's a lion cub. The black tip on the tail and the mottled coat give it away. It's just bad taxidermy :)

    A European wildcat also has that black tip on its tail and the head looks to be too small for a lion cub to me

    Think the european wildcat tends to have banded black rings on its tail though. And looking at the paws it looks like it's not fully grown.
