Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    When I go to book my Sainsburys delivery slot that I've been getting for the last 5 years and it tells me that the slots are reserved for the elderly and vulnerable people only and they're not releasing slots to the general public I think 'fair enough' and go book with Tesco.

    Why the ****ing why then can my neighbour get a Sainsburys delivery every weekend? If him (maybe 40), his wife (similar age) and their 2 kids (approx 4 and 8) are classed as vulnerable why in the name of god are they out playing with other children and socialising with all the other neighbours every single day? Why are they so special?

    (I realise my last few TA's have been about my neighbours but in all honesty they're driving me silently up the walls)

    Fon my fifth birthday, one of my aunts bought me a Barbie bunk bed as a present. It had a built-in wardrobe, too. It was the coolest thing I'd ever owned (at that point). None of my normal dolls would fit. My mother didn't believe that Barbies (or their poor cousins) were a good role model, so she never got me one. I got my first one when I was 10 or 11, and my brother managed to break off one of her arms.

    I think I have something in my eye...

    TA lightening crotch pain. Apparently it's "normal". Doesn't seem normal to me to have random electric shocks in your nether region. If you told me "Lightening Crotch" was something you drink on a beach from a long glass with a paper parasol in it, I might consider it normal :(

    My mother was the same. Banging on about how if she was a real life woman she'd be 7ft tall and her boobs would topple her off balance or something...

    She didn't mind dragging me to the stupid weight watchers class she attended every week so that I grew up thinking the only road to perfection was through starvation :pac:

    TA is I have no bird seed and a constant visitor , starling? Thrush? and getting bird seed was in my never do to-do list .
    Then the lock down

    What can I put in the feeder.
    Oatmeal?

    Yes and fruit, cheese, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, rice. Obviously oatmeal could get messy if its not a rainproof feeder...

    Oats (and rice) aren't a good idea, they turn to "glue" when damp and could cause serious harm to the birds. Cheese isn't great either, TBH, no milk products are.


    There's lots of info on feeders on the Nature and Birdwatching forum. (Yes, shameless plug, so sue me!).

    My ta is that I can't name one bird apart from a robin or a crow that are daily visitors atm,I presume it's starlings that are busy building a nest in an old car parked out the back but there's beautiful little birds with fabulous yellow necks and loads more that I can't identify, I'm going to try a pick up the most basic book about nature, maybe a children's Ladybird book.
