Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Cheers Pretzill. I'm of the "older" generation, late feckin 40s and no big deal. The marketing people are 10 years younger. It was disrespectful to me and the younger people who display great talent in our field, but sadly they tolerate this bullying BS.
I hope Mr P's illness is a coping one for you at the least. Mrs G had an acute stroke two years ago and still isn't the woman I knew. But she's still with me and that's all that counts.

When I was gaining experience on the business I'm in I actually learned an awful lot from the 'older' generation. I feel that people seem to feel it's a fault to do that now - there's little humility about it too
Same thing with Mr P, Grandeeod, a brain injury from stroke would you believe - it's tough but like you say he's here and things could have been much worse.

Night all
As it happens I'm at the airport, had some toast and coffee followed by a g&t..at the gate now,its like a Saturday night here,not a seat to be got at the bars and serious drinking going on,I feel so virtuous, well I'm awake now 24 hrs so tbh I'm afraid to drink anymore in case I get drunkies...

Tea and then an errand to run. On foot. It's raining.
Today I was encouraged to use Instagram for my work. The bit of encouragement must have sunk in. Suddenly I feel ready to go into business properly. See how I feel later. I struggled to juggle everything before, and the online side of a business was not my forte.
