Shame, all staying inland, still a very nice 19.8c despite it being quite cloudy now.

looks new storms developing east Wexford ....

Theres plenty evidence still of instability (acc and cb) here near Arklow to the east and west, so don't rule it out
It's a beautiful day too albeit mostly cloudy down here now

There were lots of lightning strikes here in New ross a few hours ago the two houses next to us got hit and while the fire brigade were here they had 4 more calls to attend to locally, scary stuff

Lovely here in Limerick. Just serviced the car..

Most of it skirted up the Barrow but we still got a nice show in South Kilkenny.

Unfortunately by the time I got out most of it had passed north to Carlow.

The tail end of the storm brought warm but fresh breezes. Lots of mist and rain. It was lovely.

No lightning in these but the gentle thunder going through the valleys was lovely.

    Spooked the pheasants :D

North Wexford/South Wicklow is looking interesting. An area of precipitation has developed rapidly, both in intensity and in size, in the past 30 minutes.

Probably won't develop into anything but one to keep an eye on.

Lots of power outages still in the south east from the lightning.

Looks like some mammatus sneaked in a few moments ago in Dublin.

Saw the usual line again today to the very left of the south end of kildare west of Athy, amazes me this pattern , due to Mount Leinster perhaps ?

Always goes west or east of me.

Heard some rumbles this afternoon woke me up didn't hear much after. Light isn rain or what I saw anyway, went back to bed for night shift heard noting more, knew when I saw the radar not to get excited.

Racing at Gowran Park was abandoned today due to lightning just before first race, something I can't remember happening before.

Mammatus like cloud formations right behind a distinct line around 2pm this afternoon. Almost shelf cloud in appearance looking directly up. Lightning strike close to the south as it was passing over. Meath-west location.

Great to see the East getting its fair share of the rain.
