Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Glossary won't update

    Hi all,
    I'm using this PhD template:

    and it's been working really well so far. I'm on OS X 10.6.8 and using TeXShop.

    One issue I've been having is that the glossary refuses to update - I try editing the glossary.tex sub-document, but it just shows the original glossary entries. I've tried trashing all of the aux files but no go.

    Interestingly, when I change the name of the master document, thesis.tex, to another name, the unwanted legacy glossary items disappear and the glossary now presents blank with none of the new entries present.

    Has anyone encountered this issue?

    Can you be a little more specific? Maybe provide a minimal example of your Tex code (like this)?

    I've forgotten but does glossary work via an external program like mkindex does? You might want to check that. I'm surprised that TeXshop isn't dealing with the glossaries correctly though.
