Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Just on NHK: "Heavy snow in Ireland" on Thursday!

    Watching the weather on the Japanese news channel NHK (it's brilliant btw).

    Anyway, their meteorologist just said,"and across the West [gestures to UK/Ireland] we have a very large low pressure system that is impacting the British Isles and bringing heavy snow in Ireland"

    Above here the screen reads: Thursday 0:00 UTC

    Then she says the highs in London for Thursday will be 9 degrees.

    Huh??

    Thought some of you snow hounds might want to hear that.

    I did not see the NHK forecast but if the time was 00.00 Thursday for heavy snow in Ireland,then it is in fact somewhat correct. Reports coming in of heavy wet snow in Mayo and Roscommon

    Had heavy snow for about 10 minutes earlier, near Drogheda. It didn't stick though, the ground's way too wet.

    They mentioned sleet and possibly snow on higher ground.
    We had some snow this morning but it didnt hang around which I am very thankful for :)
