PHOTO CHALLENGE THREAD - CURRENT CHALLENGE - "FREEDOM"

Welcome to our new, hopefully improved, Photo Challenge thread here in the main forum.

For the moment the rules of the old Photo Challenge thread apply but we will be reviewing them in due course to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Three upcoming challenges will be listed at any given time, affording people more opportunity to plan and shoot. Only the top challenge will be 'live' during any given challenge period.

Challenges will run from the 1st of the month to the 15th of the month and from the 16th of the month to the end of the month.

Only photos taken from the time the three challenges are listed can be posted during the period that challenge is live.

We will kick off with 3 themes selected by Mods but the winner of each challenge will select a new theme which will be placed at the bottom of the existing list.

Rather than clutter the main forum with individual challenge threads, each challenge will be incorporated within this thread, with a post giving a clear indication of the end of a challenge and its winner and the beginning of a new challenge. The Challenge List will be updated after each challenge. We can see how effectively this works as we go along.

Rather than wait of the 16th of this month, we thought we would launch the thread while there is still an energy about the changes, so we have a little less time for our first challenge. We have chosen themes which are deliberately fairly general and accessible to encourage participation. You will appreciate how difficult it is not to repeat themes so these may have been up before in one guise or another.

The first three challenges are:

1. AROUND MY HOUSE AND GARDEN [July 4th - July 15th]

2. PEOPLE [July 16th - July 31st]

3. SYMMETRY [AUG 1ST - AUG 15TH]

We would be grateful for your patience while we bed this thread in. We are happy to make any changes where there is some consensus that they will improve the thread. We will review the thread and look for feedback after the first 4 or 5 completed challenges.
