    Hi All

I know you can't be specific with medical advice or any of that on here.

But have sciatica about a year now. Very bad in morning or after long rest periods.

Im seriously looking at going to the next level or 2 up from the GP and ultimately a long term solution to it as it easy takes 2 or 3 hours out of the day to warm up the affected side and be up and running for the day.

Once that's achieved it ok. You still know you have it but not near as bad as when you get up in the morning for instance

If anyone has experience in regarding time and sort of care/treatment, rest i would need to be taking and obviously costs that would be great.

I'd imagine I have a standard issue with it so we will just go with that for now.

I suffered from Sciatica and tried lots of different therapies etc. The one that did it for me, and (finger crossed) permanently was a physio who was a licenced acupuncturist also. I would have been very sceptical about the acupuncture side, but was in so much pain I didn't care what she did as long as it cured me. It worked and I have been pain free since. The lady I used has since moved on, but a quick Google should get you a nearby specialist.

A good few years ago, had horrendous sciatica, tried everything but for me no non surgical treatments helped. Went to see a great Neurosurgeon who specialised in spinal problems and had a microdiskectomy and the relief was amazing.
