Can anybody tell me (a non maritime land lubber) why the Stena Foreteller has been anchored off Skerries (North Co. Dublin) for the past few days ? It also anchored in the same spot a few weeks back.
    Thanks.
    H./

At the moment, Stena have no work for the ship and it costs them nothing in terms of harbour fees to have her sit out there at anchor and wait for the market to pick up again and for a job to come along. With so many ferries in the Irish Sea, she is well placed to start quickly if something nearby comes up.

I notice there's 2 tankers, sister ships off Bray, the Thun Gemini and Thun Globe.
