    Hearing compliments second hand.

A colleague / close friend is in NY with a team I used to work with. She texted me to say one of them said "you know who I love. Bitofabind, the Irish girl. She's brilliant!"

Made my day that has. :o

Nick Cave's post about "woke culture" . It was a really nice piece of writing and insight into his way of looking at life. Kind of resonated. I'd say he's good company.

He's a true empath. Not like a lot of the pretend ones that are about nowadays. I could listen to his opinions all a day long.

I only use 2 nail varnishes. Chanel Rouge Noir or Rimmel Black Cab.

Of course I knocked and broke the Rouge Noir...but I had painted all ten nails first :)

First week in a new job

Boss took all our team out for a welcome lunch for me. All you can eat buffet and we had beers also \0/

I didn’t want to be the first to order a beer, on my best behaviour but happy to follow the others

    Very welcoming.

I bought a long overdue new duvet this week.
Then I decided, feck it, I'll buy a duvet set too.
    Tonight's their debut.
Lovely and fresh and cosy in here tonight.
