Scammed through PayPal , any recourse with linked debit card

    Hi family member was scammed after foolishly sending the money as a gift , so PayPal won't do anything

    Is there any recourse with the linked debit card .It was a private sale on done deal, item didn't arrive, seems to be a scammer

    I don't think there is. Ask your family member to contact their bank to see if there is anything that can be done.

    No hope whatsoever.

    PayPal very strictly says not to use friends and family payments for people you don't know.

    Banks won't entertain a complaint
