Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    With Links he keeps writing loads of questions and saying "question marks as appropriate". I don't get it. Perhaps there's no question mark key on his computer?

    A bit more seriously, was just thinking ... a few people have said they are willing to go again, and just looking at the list and remembering Squishy's question above ...

    Might it be an idea to take a couple of these at a time, re-open their existing threads, and let people ask any other questions which occur to them?

    Just a thought / inviting feedback ... ;)

    I'd suggest keeping it 1 at a time, but maybe doing a 3 day rotation rather than starting each Sunday?

    Multiple people would kinda defeat the purpose in my opinion, it'd make it a bit like "ask a question..."

    Opening an old thread might be an option, but then the answers may have changed. Hrmmm... New Noc-light new questions?

    The system works, lets not change it for changes sake. The reason it starts on sunday eve is because thats when there is alot of traffic in here. Likewise for monday. People spend time in here instead of out as they would on a weekend.

    The thing with 3 day rotations is some people will be out or busy towards the end of the week.

    Keep things the way they are.

    Also, answers may have changed. New noc era, new threads, new answers to maybe the same questions.

    Yeah, that's exactly why we went with Sunday - Weds ... end of the week people tended to be on the pish, or away for the weekend.


    Otherwise, is grand ... I was just thinking aloud, really. Ok, maybe not literally, but ... oh, feck off and stop being so pedantic! :mad:

    I would agree with few. I think it's good to have it one at a time, but could do two a week. we'll be forever doing them otherwise!
