Anyone have any details of the classic car show/display/whatever in Ballivor this Sunday? Saw a sign while out driving but couldn't get the details, and there's nothing online that I can find.

Apologies for cross posting, I noticed this was a sticky and didn't want to start a new thread here.

Last year I started a google calendar for Irish Car shows, I've just updated it for as many shows as I could find. You can find the thread here: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057735110

You can add it by using the following email address: mtgpo79t41nlpqa5snsbads8i8@group.calendar.google.com
    • Copy the above email address
    • Go to your google calendar via your web browser
    • On the panel on the left click the little arrow to the right of other calendars
    • Click add a friends calendar
    • Paste the above email address into the field

If there are any other shows let me know and I'll add them

I love this show but the cost is always too steep.
Including that child-magnet "bouncy area" I dropped 50 quid last year (before food).

I'll be culling the numbers travelling this year.

I noticed a lot of "gaps" last year...are people just not bothered displaying, or afraid of damage to their pride and joys...??

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,726 ✭✭✭Diabhalta

Personally I would rather the cars an coffee style meetups than shows.
A lot of randomners come to shows with their kids for something to do on a Sunday afternoon and have no respect for the cars on show which are always someone's price and joy.
Sitting their kids into them for pics and sitting on bonnets for a chat with someone they know or "looking" at the cars with their suncreamed covered hands.
At least at the cars and coffee people show some respect to other people's property.

I agree and it's not just the kids. It makes me cringe to see people leaning on someone elses car with no regard or respect for it. I've told people to get the fack off my car before now. You wouldn't do it in Super Valu, why do people think t hey can at shows?

Yep, you get the clueless old bastards, dispensing their infinite knowledge, poking and prodding other peoples' property with their walking sticks.
