Wouldn't it just be easier to get rid of the PDs?

I'd really like to see a full examination of the costs before any location is chosen, particularly the costs of compensating the existing tenants. It is clear that Dublin Port is growing beyond its means in terms of physical land requirement vs the ability to supply but from my own knowledge of the Port there are many users in the port who don't need to be there such as trucking companies and gas bottle depositries. A full land use audit needs to be undertaken before this idea is given any more oxygen.

If this had been started in 2005 we would now have a better solution to Dublin traffic and potential to ease the housing crisis.

Add in Brexit and develop marine infrastructure in the South East with better links to France and Spain.

The exceptionally defensive letter from Dublin Port CEO to the Irish Times seemed like a selfish rant against debate and national development.
