First time car insurance

Hi im looking to buy a car and get insured as a first time driver. I was given a quote of 2000eur . If my father bought a second car in his name could he insure me under his name on the car? Would it bring the insurance cost down for me?

You need to put your dad down as named driver, what you are saying isn't allowed and he would have to take out a second policy which he wouldn't get to use his no claims on.

Look at Aygo or similar in size, 1st insurance will be high.

You can get those GPS boxes fitted but honestly if you can get a policy without do so.
