I remember reading years ago about Dustin the turkey that the puppeteer was worth crazy money something close to 10 million from all the CDs and TV appearances and other stuff he did with him.
By all accounts he's not short a few bob and all for sticking his hand up a toys hole.

Bill Golding played Rory.
He had the most amazing voice ever.
I think I fell in love with it when I was a toddler!

There was another one who did the Den for about a month - big launch, her name was BT or Brid Treasna, and seemingly then vanished...

She's actually a very good friend of mine and she is a now a teacher. She deferred college to do that stint on the den if I remember rightly. She is also the voice of Dora the explorer on TG4. A really nice person she is and very witty and great craic too.

Samantha Mumba times infinity

Saw her on a transatlantic flight a few years ago. Not only was she in economy but she was in the (loser) middle seat of the middle section :O

She really was a one hit wonder. I was reading her Wiki there and its a very depressing read.
"On 23 October 2006, a compilation album, The Collection, was released. The album features songs from Gotta Tell You, B-Sides and two new tracks including her single "I'm Right Here". The singer sold just a handful of tickets for a highly publicised comeback concert in Dublin, which led to it being cancelled in February 2007.

Theresa Lowe married Frank McNamara, the guy who played the piano on the Late Late in Gaybo's time. He was involved with the PD's at some stage, maybe ran for election for them. There was a feature on their family in the Sindo a few weeks back.

Cynthia Ni Mhurchu became a barrister and is still one as far as I know.

Bibi Baskin went to India and has been running a hotel there for many years.

Pat O'Mahony is an independent radio producer, you'd hear lots of his stuff on Doc on One on Radio One.

Carrie Crowley is an actress now, has been on a lot of things on TG4 over the years and was in FC lately.

Samantha Mumba was the next big thing in 2000's, I think she did really well in America where many other acts failed. Her songs weren't bad for the time. Maybe she was badly advised on the direction to take with her career or something bus she fairly sank without trace.

"In 1997, Theresa left R.T.E to work as a Barrister at Dublin & Eastern Circuit courts. She specialises in Criminal practice and also covers personal injury. She continues to work as a Barrister to this day".

Can't post the URL but it's from The Daily Show page on RTE website (from 2012).

Simon Young would have been known no matter where in the country you lived, ditto Bibi.

never heard of them

what were they known for

I heard Bibi was involved with an unsavoury character who has since fled to America and is currently the subject of an extradition campaign to have him returned. While she done nothing wrong herself, it doesn't sound too odd that she decided to take a step back from the lime light.

Simon Young was a 2FM DJ

Bibi Baskin was a general-format TV presenter, who someone once expressed a desire to be buried balls-deep in.

Is his plastic-faced love doll with the false accent still about?

I heard she stayed out in the sun too long and melted.
