Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Please, check on old and alone neighbours? Very hard to get shopping and fuel in in this weather.
    ( fine here as living islandlife means staying well stocked well ahead)

    Drove from Douglas to city centre at 6.30. A really heavy shower of wet snow as we drove in - that snow shield may have a little leak in it :)

    At about 7 this morning Knock airport had a heavy shower of hail/sleet/snow that lasted about 5 mins. Roads were slippy enough around there. At half 7 it was 60/70% melted. Temperature is showing around 2 degrees but the wind would go through ya.

    Absolutely gorgeous.

    There's plenty of stuff showing up on sattelite out in the Atlantic. Whether it's cold enough for snow I don't know but it certainly won't be a dry afternoon!! Sweet spot if I could find one would be Thurles (north enough to remain in the cold and south enough to catch the ppn moving through later)

    No snow but was awoken by the loudest hail shower I've ever experienced last night, thought the windows were gone.

    with gales in the west and northwest.

    The way they worded that there will only be snow on the mountains that have some thunder.

    Hit and miss through the day. No consistency on where will be affected by longer periods of sleet and snow this evening and overnight from the models.

    We'll just have to observe as we go along. Anywhere really is at risk of some snowfall today or overnight.
