Welcome to the Boardsies greatest movie star of the 80s contest. Were you a fan of Arnie, maybe Meryl Streep, or perhaps Steve Martin, all actors that defined the 80s in movies. But, who will be the favorite among the Boardsies universe, well let's find out.

Please PM me 10 actors, male or female.

The only criteria here is that the actor must have appeared in at least 3 movies during the 80s according to IMDB

ET would have been another guess, but begby got there first.

Other one I was thinking of was Raiders of the Lost Arc.

Trailer time: Some Kind Of Wonderful

Probably one of the lesser known John Hughs teen dramas.

Swayze was the man, totally forgot about him in my votes

Trailer: Big Trouble in Little China

Initially a commercial failure, this John Carpenter fantasy/comedy has become a cult classic

What else did he do during the 80s though, same could even be argued against DeNiro over the whole decade. I think the 80s is cluttered with 1 hit wonders.

    Surely you haven't forgotten Roadhouse?

    Raging Bull
    The King of Comedy
    Brasil
    The Untouchables
    Angel Heart

Definitely not a 1 hit wonder, I actually regret not nominating him, but there were some other actors that are definite 80s.

    No, but I have tried.

Midnight Run is a particular favourite of mine for DeNiro's 80s output.

Actually for his output from any era. I really love that film.

Not saying he was a one hit wonder, just that it was arguably his worse decade, though his standard is very high, are there others with more substance in the 80s? Most likely

    Depending on your taste in movies, Arnie had a phenomenal decade;

Conan, Terminator, Commando*, The Running man, Predator.

*maybe not be highly regarded but a personal favourite of mine :)

Clint also had a decent output, though I'd say the 70s was probably his best.
