    Forum Charter

Welcome to Board’s Theatre & Performing Arts forum. All are welcome to post and browse but please note the rules and charter below before posting.

The purpose of the forum is to allow posters to discuss all things related.

    FORUM MODERATORS
The forum is modded by myself (faceman), Tygerkrash and The_Morrigan. Any forum related queries can be PM’d to us. Also any issues you may have with the running of the forum should be PM’d to us.

NO DISCUSSING OR PROMOTING ANYTHING ILLEGAL
If it’s against the law, then it’s not welcome here. That includes links to third party sites.

    ADVERTISING/SHILLING - IMPORTANT
We have a dedicated thread for promoting amateur events here. If you wish to promote a professional event, please contact one of the mods first. Do not start new threads to promote an event.

We have a separate thread for amateur drama/performing arts group's to advertise themselves here.

We also have a thread dedicated to dance classes here.

Any new threads set up to promote events will be deleted and the user may be banned.

    PROMOTING WORKSHOPS/CLASSES/TUTORS
As of 12/08/09, we have a dedicated thread for advertising workshops. However there are rules and conditions for posting a workshop ad which are outlined in the thread itself. PLEASE READ THE RULES AND PM ME BEFORE POSTING. Thread can be located here.

If a user sets up a thread to request information on classes etc in the main forum, then replies with details are permitted but no prices must be posted or personal phone numbers/email addresses. You can advise viewers to contact you via Private Message. PM

    AUDITIONS
We have a dedicated thread for advertising upcoming auditions here.

    KEEP IT ON TOPIC!
We enjoy a bit of banter here but please keep on topic on thread.

    SELLING/TRADING TICKETS, ETC.:
This forum is not to be used to selling tickets to events or anything else for that matter. Please go to adverts.ie for all selling.

    FLAMING/BULLYING/MUPPETRY/PERSONAL ABUSE/RACISM/SEXISM ETC
We have a zero tolerance to any of the above. Users will be banned and posts deleted. Just because you didn’t intend to insult someone, doesn’t make it ok.

    NO TEXT SPEAK!
Nothing worse than trying to read a post written in text speak so please dont do it! Dat means no nu txt spk in the forum cos every1 h8s it.

    REPORTING POSTS
Any thread or post that contravenes the charter should be reported. Click the report post button under the username box in the thread. When reporting a post, make sure you have good reason. Someone disagreeing with you is not a troll, not all arguments are abusive etc. Abusing this feature is frowned upon. If you report a post, it is always a good idea to say so in a thread. It is not required though, but it does reduce the number of repeated reported posts.

    THEATRE AND ARTS RESOURCE LIST

For links to useful resources etc please click here

    DRAMA GROUPS / PERFORMING GROUPS
The thread here is dedicated to advertising your group.

    May'17: New Boards.ie "What's On" Forum
Users can also post events in the dedicated Boards.ie What's On forum located here.

The above rules come into effect immediately. Existing threads will be allowed run their course.

We hope you enjoy your visit!
