Wow great spot! There can't be more than 1 of these on our roads? Grand California indeed, €80-odd grand

Didn't know such a wagon existed to be honest, rare machine indeed

I picked this up last Monday, facelift model. A few nice updates, LED front lights, electric seats, heated seats in back, updated alloys and infotainment.

I've oddly seen more new 202's on the road for this first 2 weeks than I did for the 201's back in first 2 weeks of January.

A lot of folks ordered pre lockdown (myself included). Cars sarted arrivibg in the country in June. Most folks who could sat on the registration / delivery until July.

No photo but I saw a 202D reg Land Rover Defender driving around Churchtown. First impression was of a Japanese or Korean concept for an SUV, didn’t look very rugged, v shiny with colour contrast bumpers.

These will be great in about five years time when they're €2k

Likewise, I’m seeing loads of them. I’m even seeing more 202s than 201s

With the Lockdown, I think a lot of people decided to hold out until 202, I'm expecting the sales for July 2020 to be about 15% to 20% higher than the sales for July 2019.

    July 2019 (24,681)
    July 2020 (29,561)*

I'm not Michel de Nostredame, but this my prediction!!!:o

I read that the sales for the first two weeks of July are actually down 18% on July 2019 so it looks like a lot of people have probably held off on purchases with the economy in the state it is in.

The VAT reduction will knock a few quid of new cars. Should help on the double as VRT calculated on VAT inclusive price, so it too SHOULD go down.
(If I'd known I'd have waited, but c'est la vie!)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,058 ✭✭✭fabsoul

just VRT today nice but not 202

Has 200 bhp and weighs 170kg I think.

I think IL go race any car in Ireland and see who wins lol

I know it's not a car, I love cars more than bikes but thought was worth posting.

Be a long time before I can afford a car as quick as this.

Even allowing say 80kg for rider, thats 800 bhp per tonne.
Cant see anything on 4 wheels getting near that.

Well I was way off on my prediction! :o

Paul, your info was much nearer to reality!

But it is mad, as I've seen soooo many 202 reg. already this year.

14% down is a great achievement with Covid still around. The doubt over the future of petrol and diesel had been dropping sales for the last year outside of this.

A Tesla Model X would be very close. The S1000RR is a beauty ; best of luck with it.

The rental car market is normally quite big in July and with no tourists here this year there are no rental cars being registered - accounting for all of the fall in July basically. The retail market was actually up surprisingly.

I'll post month end numbers for July in a bit.

Okay we know one was sold, but the stats don't show it!!!

No Audi S7 listed for July!!! I was thinking it might be corrected and included as part of the Aug figures, but it looks like it might have been added as an A7...
