The river blackwater on the Waterford Cork border.

If you went down around the bend on the river in the pic you'd come to Youghal bridge.

My first ice cream of 2022

It was a Magnum double caramel and it was divine

Magnum are expensive but definitely worth for an occasional treat.

Not sure if this is a th or tsad,

Offered some charities and dog walkers some dog related items (food, leads, ball etc) when he was pts. Yesterday I saw a photo of at one of the dog carers using some of the leads we had given them.

    That is a TH

You gave it a charity and it's been used. Better than cash!

    Tomorrow I’m having a bit of a ‘me’ day…

i need to bring a jacket which I bought back to get one size smaller.. on doing an inventory of my wardrobe though I’m a bit in need of some clothing….

One of my other favourite shops and labels is practically giving away both summer and winter clothing comparative to usual prices so, striking while the iron is hot and having saved a tonne of cash over the last while with limited socialising and traveling….

    jeans, t-shirts, shirts, shorts, sweaters… required….

The above Me day turned into a better again day..

the shopping… In one of the shops I bought three items what I’d expected to be around 230 euros worth of clothing reduced from around 340…

I get to the till it rings up as 63.80…

I think I mishear, but the guy serving doesn’t blink… stupidly maybe I ask to check… he just nods, smiles and replies… “ yep, giving it away “

nice to be on the receipt of a proper bargain…

Hearing that Kate Bush's song Running Up That Hill was featured in an episode of Stranger Things, sending it to the top of the streaming charts, and hopefully sending Gen Z off in search of more great music. Relatively Old Farts like yours truly are standing smugly by, ready to drop more listening ideas on to the eager ears of adventurous yoof. 🧐

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

Walking past the lake on my way back to work, a collie sitting on a bed of moss and grass on the water's edge. Serenely keeping an eye on his companions while having long sniffs of the breeze as it blew their ears/coat around.

S/He looked so happy and I could tell from their face was really enjoying the smells on the wind.

Spent time during the week catching up on healthcare issues, that I had neglected while I was writing my thesis etc.

I said to the gp and masseuse that I handed my thesis in 6 weeks ago, each one of them said ah! say no more and were absolutely correct in giving me what I needed.

Added TH neither of them asked me to remember or timeplace anything from the past 9 months(they knew there was -0 chance I would remember)

Haven't been with eir in years but they must have been in credit when I left as I received this cheque for the princely sum of 11.96.

How does a person cash a cheque these days? 🙈

Just lodge it your bank account next time you are passing a branch. Or put it through their letterbox with a cover note containing your account details.

    Thanks Newbridge.

Its years since I've cashed cheque, I don't even use cash anymore.

Even my bank closed in my local town would you believe.

But that's for the ta thread 😁.
