Hi guys, just wondering if ye've seen this:

Its a new online co-op zombie survival game from Valve.

Should be good fun, and sort out the true zombie survivalists from the zombie fodder.:D

Oooooh yes. I've been following this for a long time now. To say I'm excited about it would be quite an understatement. The only thing that worries me though, is the friendly fire aspect. I tend to opt for spray and pray rather than accuracy in my FPS games :pac:.

I play counter strike source zombie mod.

From what I've seen thus far valve just adapted this mod into this game.
So if you want to get a feel for this game try css ^^

I love the mod so naturally I'm waiting for this game

Is it multiplayer across a network/LAN/internet thingy? I never got into WoW or any of those, but I might be convinced to take a flutter on this...

I saw a video somewhere recently where Gabe from Valve said thats its pretty similar to CS in weapon load out etc. I've heard about a few zombie mod for source but never looked into it. Zombie Panic i think?

Only info I see so far is thats its only an online multiplayer, perhaps there will be bots like in CS so you can have zombie fun on your own. I wouldn't compare it to WarCrack tho. Unlike that game job its something you should be able to pick up for a few minutes whenever you feel the need for undead death reinforcement. (Tho Valve never did bots for HL2: DM or TF2)

There's also the ability to play as specialist classes of zombie, and I like the idea of the AI director which will vary the way in which you're attacked depending on your performance.

PC and something called an Xbox?

Same as the Orange Box, Valve will farm out the PS3 port to EA.

This is one of the only few games iv been looking forward to, until then ill continue with my zombie master and zombie panic mods

It looks all good to me, been watching it for a bit at this stage.

The only thing that does bug me is the monster aspect... I'm bit of a purist when it comes to zombie games.

But the monsters are other online players not zombies. At least this gives them a chance!

I'll admit I haven't been following the game closely. (I don't like to sit and wait for games, takes too long. better to read up about it once think. oo thats nice and then discover its out a few months later and pick it up in my own time)

Watched a few gameplay videos a while back and it did bring back memories from playing zombie mod on css

. I am looking forward to see what they will do with it, seems to be what zombiemod is not just a little fancier. Not trying to find out much as Its better to be surprised by the game when you play it the first time :cool:

Anyway. Its zombies!!! so it will rock anyway.

I'm not too sure about this one, looks like some crap arcade style/over the top game. There's monsters that explode and jumping zombies! The lack of friendly fire also makes it look like a 'spray and pray' type game with no real atmosphere, just 4 people running around shooting like crazy.

This game is look really good, been following it for a while. Only thing is that it comes our like a week after Gears 2 and Resistance 2. So some stiff competition for this game.
