Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

electric wheelchair/charger

    I need a replacement 24 volt battery charger for a Pride Classic electric wheelchair. anyone?? or who might supply them??

    A lot of modern "batteries" are actually battery packs made up of individual cells wired together to produce 24V. If you can't get a direct replacement ask your friends if they know of an electrical engineer/above average electrician who would be the kind of person to repair rather than replace equipment.

    They might be able to dismantle the battery (if it is this type) and find out of one cell is damaged and replace that one.

    ***there is no guarantee your battery is like this, but a competent electrician/electrical engineer will be able to tell you***

    Hi Guys,

    Apologies for resurrecting an old thread.

    The battery in my Dad's chair isn't holding it's charge.

    LiFePo4 25.6v 15ah battery.

    Just seeing how much replacements would be and there isn't a heap of information out there.

    Any advice appreciated.
