A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

I think he had implants and the collar he is wearing connects to a processor that is "reprogramming" the signals from the brain to his body.

The urban poor in Accra risk injury and drowning to swim in the Korle Lagoon to recover recyclable plastics that flow into the heavily polluted water from the city's waterways during rainfall events. They sell the plastic for pennies, which they depend on for sustenance. Scavengers and waste pickers are major stakeholders in the informal plastic recovery industry worldwide. Yet their role is not recognized and appreciated. They make significant economic and environmental contributions by helping to reduce waste, cost of cleanups, and supply secondary materials to industries.

Yeah, turns out my job isn't as bad as I thought, after all...

Yes but nobody has to wade through that to scrape together a living.

The pollution itself is bad enough on its own, I agree.

Agustina Canamero, 81, and Pascual Pérez, 84, hug and kiss through a plastic film screen to avoid contracting the new coronavirus at a nursing home in Barcelona, Spain. Even when it comes wrapped in plastic, a hug can convey tenderness and relief, love and devotion. The fear that gripped Agustina Cañamero during the 102 days she and her 84-year-old husband spent physically separated during Spain's coronavirus outbreak dissolved the moment the couple embraced through a screen of plastic film.

Just came across Terry Fox who attempted to run across Canada despite cancer causing a loss of one of his legs. However - "he was forced to end his run outside Thunder Bay when the cancer spread to his lungs. His hopes of overcoming the disease and completing his run ended when he died nine months later."

22 years old when he died in 1981 - such a tragic age to be taken. And a massive inspiration to many with his determination to achieve on a grand scale.

"Every Wednesday the East Providence RI police department turn on their car lights for the children's hospital, and the children flash their lights back. It's tradition to let the children know that someone is thinking of them while they are sick"
