Difficult to diagnose over the internet. I have had a Minn Kota since 1999. In my experience the most likely faults to occur are failure of the speed control switch or seizing of the bottom end due to water ingress caused by one or more faulty seals.

It would help if you tried rotating the prop to test for seizure. If the engine is turning over the most likely problem is a faulty switch. Upgraded switches are available from Ebay for about €35.00 and they are easy to fit. I have replaced mine twice.

Replacement seals are also available and are relatively easy to fit.

What part of the country are you in? I might be able to help if you are local to me.
