    I am not sure whether to put this in DIY or give it a try here, I'll give it a go and see if there is any interest. And advice.

    As I am not as young as I used to be I am finding handling power tools a bit more difficult. I have stopped using the (admittedly massive) circular saw I used to be able to 'freehand' rip boards with.

    I recently got an impact screwdriver having only ever used the small power screwdrivers before. I was well impressed and screwing in and removing screws with ease. Then I got a very stuck screw, put the driver up to the top number and nearly broke my wrist as the driver had no 'free running' (or whatever it is called) and so took my wrist round instead. So be warned, the highest number on your driver may be more than you can cope with (seems a bit daft to not have a bit of leeway on the highest number).

    Now I fancy a reciprocating saw but I wonder how easy are they to handle? I was researching them and there seemed to be a suggestion that they can kick. Has anyone any feedback on that?
