    Hi,

    I have recently came across my great grandfathers pocket watch. As far as I know, he used to be a member of the New York police force for a short time. He was also meant to board the Titanic just before it sank, but he fell ill and was unable to take the (unfinished) journey.

    I was wondering does anyone have any information on this type of pocket watch and its value. It has a number of engravings scratched into it, along with a number of engravings done professionally. See one of the images for the engraving details, along with the watch itself.
