I've been out of the loop for a while music wise for the last few years but I've been listening to all sorts of house, techno and IDM over the last two decades.

I was always dismissive of dubstep for some reason and never gave it a chance but I listened to this track over the weekend and it really resonated with me:

I'd love to hear similar stuff but I've NO idea where to start. What labels, online radio stations, producers, albums etc should I be checking out (similar sounding stuff to the link above).

    Cheers!

Artists: Burial, Mala, Coki, Loefah, Skream, Ramadanman aka Pearson Sound, Biome, Thelem, Phaeleh, The Bug, Kode9, El-B, Shackleton, Pinch, Lurka, Roska, Gothtrad, TMSV, Kryptic Minds, Benga, Youngsta... There are so many more but I'm away from my laptop currently.

A good place to start: Dubstepforum's Guide to Dubstep Thread

Labels: Tempa, Hotflush, 3024, Apple Pips, Hyperdub, Chestplate, Deep Medi Musik, DMZ, Hemlock, Naked Lunch, Hessle Audio, R&S, Planet Mu, Ninja Tune, Punch Drunk Recordings, Rottun, Soul Jazz, Tectonic, Swamp 81, Black Box, Orca, Saigon.. Again there are so many more, they are just ones I'm familiar with.

Stations: Rinse FM, Mary Anne Hobbs on XFM, BBC Radio 1 have a Dubstep show still going I think. As well as these you'll find mixes on XLR8R.com, Resident Advisor, FACT Mag, DubstepFriday.com.

I used to love the Breezeblock when it was on Radio 1, didn't know Mary Hobbs was on XFM now.

Also check out the Techno/House/Dubstep Crossover thread on the forum here, it's got the latest stuff in this area of EDM, as well as events around the country (mostly Dublin).

Don't start with Skrillex. CiaranMT suggested some great artists like Burial, Skream, Benga, Mala, Kode9. Start with them...

There are also Beatman & Ludmilla, some older stuff from Nero and Chase & Status, The Secret Panda Society etc

Here is a favorite track. Cottonmouth is a great artist...
