Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Can anyone recommend somewhere good online to buy wall art/canvas/prints to hang in a bedroom?

    +1, keen to hear of sites myself. Threadless.com sell prints but Im looking for alternatives

    I've used these https://www.printdeluxe.eu in the past.
    Find a picture you like and they will print it.

    At the moment all sizes are 29 euros - except for 140x100 which is 36 - this is the largest.

    King & McGraw for a really big selection of art.
    Some Irish sites for prints: Jam Art Factory, Jando Design, Damn Fine Print.

    I googled a random sunset which was mostly yellow in colour which suited the colourscheme...
    I actually only put it up the other day... the frame that came with it was warped (it comes in parts that slot together, 1 part was out of shape) so i had to build my own frame out of 2x1.
    Original frame was in a box lying against the rad in my utility for months and months, so not sure if it was like that when it arrived.

    I'm curious how it would stack up against something like https://desenio.com/ and potentally then just buying the frames in IKEA, assuming the frames would be cheaper in IKEA and the same quality...

    I think you're comparing apples/oranges...
    https://desenio.com/ seems to be proper framed prints with glass (plexiglass) etc...
    Canvas from https://www.printdeluxe.eu is a different beast. The bare canvas is stretched over the frame, so you never see it (the frame). The workman ship on the joints doesn't have to be perfect.

    Im wondering how it would turn out if you just picked a random photo off the internet. Im guessing the quality would go way down as the pixels go up. Anyone know a way to solve this?

    Did you find any good places to shop for wall art? I recently moved into a new apartment, and the white walls are just driving me nuts. I need to hang a couple of pictures or posters to decorate it.

    I actually won a print online and got a good recommendation for a framing place - "Gallery 23" They are based in Coolmine business Park and think they have a place in Kimmage too? They've a few more "higher end" framed artwork on display and for sale too. I left with a list of artwork I now want 🤣 The girl working there was very helpful too.

    If you want to make your bedroom look awesome with some cool wall art, I've got a suggestion for you. How about printing your favorite photos on canvas? It's a great way to add a personal touch to your space.
