    Dear Reader,

I'm looking to study aboard in Malta as fees are free for European Residents ( Small charges I assume but nothing compared to Ireland ).

Just wondering if anyone has studied there it seems interested especially the living cost and low tax. Also has anyone studied aboard while on a grant?

    Education Overview of Malta

Malta is a very small island, consisting of both public and private universities/colleges who offer both graduate and masters program to international students.

Most institutions run graduate programs across various subjects, although some are more specialist – focusing for example on tourism, technology or arts.

Every year hundreds of international students comes to Malta for their further studies for both bachelors and masters program.

    Immigration and visas in Malta

International Students from EU has full right to study and work in Malta(they do not need any licence) , however they need to apply for residence document after 90 days.

If you are a Non-EU citizen then it is required to apply for an employment license if you wish to work in Malta. The license must be applied for by the employer, not the job seeker. This means that in order to receive a license, you must already have an employer who wants to hire you.

All universities in Malta have an international office that you can contact in order to discuss the exact nature of your visa and application requirements. You may also be required to undergo an English language test.
