So the snow started to stick after all. Thought you all might appreciate these. At St Angela's campus in Sligo, no idea how far above sea level we are. :)

In UL here. Very little frost this morning at 8:30am. Was a bit overcast at that time but now it's clear skies all around. Pretty cold as well at 1C

nice to see a few areas in the far west getting some flakes, total non event here in the east even in high-ground locations. Hopefully we will much better luck after Christmas into January with something proper from the East!

I've just been over the Wicklow Gap, and walked up the road to Turlough Hill to take a look.

A bit of a dusting on Djouce to be seen from the road. Closer to Glendalough, there's a bit on the top of Camaderry and Turlough Hill and heading across towards Lough Firrib. Couldn't actually see Tonelagee or Lug for cloud, but at the top of Turlough Hill there was about 1cm max of hard crunchy stuff lying on the road surface. A few small drifts under the peat hags too. I'll upload some pictures in a minute ...

Incoming potentially from the north for Dublin, Meath, Louth and Wicklow - but will it get here and will the temperatures drop just that little bit?

    16:00 update from met.ie
Scattered outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will move down over the country this evening with some snow at lower levels, but becoming much lighter and more patchy as it edges further Southeast.

Not cold enough anywhere yet though.

That pisses me off :/, not even a small flurry here in west clare. But the hills in east clare looked to have a nice cover.
The best we got was sleet at around 2:30 am.

    Hopefully this evening.
