It actually does have apps, a special chromecast version of them. With proper supported apps the chromecast device takes over and does all the work, it's not a mere screen casting job. Screen casting is the fallback option when there is no proper app, which was the case with RTE, but not anyone.

I am using VLC to play/cast films to chromecast
https://www.howtogeek.com/269272/how...ur-chromecast/ I did have trouble with windows firewall, had to go in and turn off some things. |
