Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Only happened a while ago (6 hours at time of posting) and this photo has 66,000+ views.

    Why?

    'Cos it was posted to some guys Flicker a/c, but it was posted on a laptop that had just been stolen. Your man obviously auto-logged in, posted the photo and i think the genuine owner has now changed the password so he can't take it down.

    Seriously, how stupid are some people?

    Yeah... and then cow wouldn't even give it back after she was caught red handed.... There was an epic storyline to that one.

    There was a similar story to this one with the photo too... And it was actually a piece of software made by an Irish company that was uploading the photos automatically... I think there was even a photo of the criminals car uploaded.

    Seems like a good idea to implement automatically on a laptop with an onboard camera.
    • Thief steals laptop
    • Thief is prompted for a password
    • incorrect password results in the photo being emailed to the owner of the laptop

    There's a program for Macs that actually does something similar called iAlertU, detects movement/key presses/mouse movement, triggers an alarm, and takes a picture with the iSight camera and emails it. Fun stuff :)

    haha what are the odds like!

    reminds me of when i bought a mac off ebay and when i got it and went on the internet it signed automaticly into the old owners msn, bebo, myspace and loads of other sites that he had bookmarked. If i wanted to i could of had alot of fun!;) but im a nice guy:rolleyes: it had his ebay and paypal account passwords and all!
