from star wars rogue one. Vadar entrance on the rebel ship. Great scene, shows Vadars real power. Got goosebumps watching this, the screams from the rebel troops I feel help set the scene aswell, they know their going to die and their helpless

    Eastern Promises

The fight in the bathhouse at the end. Viggo Mortensen is ambushed by 2 Chechen hitmen armed with Linoleum cutting knives and defends himself naked and unarmed. It's vicious and uncomfortable to watch but the scene is so well shot and so memorable.

The Searchers. John Wayne playing totally against type as a hate/rage filled "injun-hater". John Houston's usual use of extreme widescreen vistas starts off as this narrow framing highlighting the isolated Wayne before camera following the woman through the door and practically blinding you with the view. Amazing shot

I had the pleasure of seeing Silence of the Lambs on the big screen in London recently. Jonathan Demme's technique of shooting part of Lector and Clarice's conversations with the actors looking directly to camera really shines on the big screen, especially the scene below with Lector gazing down on top of the audience with his face filling the whole screen.

The sequel and prequel to Silence of the Lambs are very mundane in comparison but that original film is a masterclass.

Xenophobic bigot Lewis Prothero (a part brilliantly played by Roger Allam) is about to get what he deserves, love this scene.
