    Welcome folks...

This is a forum for any and all things Mic Christopher, and is the message board for his Official Website

Not to be blunt but there are a couple of rules, all of which are reasonable and shouldn't pose problems:

    Advertising
    - Topics/posts that contain this will be both edited and locked. If you wish to buy ad space, contact DeVore.

    Flaming
    - Posts containing personal attacks on another user will be edited/deleted.

    Spamming
    - Topics/posts that are just complete nonsense will be deleted.

    Racism
    - Topics/posts containing such will be edited/deleted accordingly.

    Porn
    - Topics/posts containing such will be deleted on sight.

    All fairly standard really!

    Happy postin' :D

    Tony

Why is this place so empty?Mic Christopher(R.I.P man) is savage-surely people have more to say about him than this.

ah I totally agree i mean mic was and will always be a legend, but he lives on in his music. What is there to say about him that hasn't already been said? It's great that there's somewhere to talk about him, but other than reminiscing about how great he was what else can we speak bout here? It's not like there will be more gigs or releases, however it'd be great if they did another skylarkin gig in the future just so we don't forget about him!

hi, im a big mic christopher fan and i noticed nobody has posted here in ages - come back everone!!
anyway, i was at the frames big gig in marley park the other day and towards the end of their set they played heyday. it was an incredible experience because the whole crowd joined in and it felt like mic was alive again and his spirit was totally captured in the crowd :) theres nothing quite like 30thousand people shouting "this is our hey day baby yeah!!"

yeah i heard about that, they had a slide show of mic on the big plasma screens beside the stage. Raging i couldn't be there, would have been so beautiful to see! It was a really nice thing to do, and Mic's sister and his Mum were there in the crowd too! Yeah it is a pity that noone really posts here, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon with Hey Day, yet they hardly know who Mic is!

I think its so great that all the Irish bands and singer/songwriters stick together and help each other out. And if you look at the thank you's in most of their albums the have a mention for Mic's relatives. Its the little things like that that keep my faith in humanity going...
About the bandwagon thing, as long as they listen to more Mic and keep him alive through the music, its all that really matters :)

First post on this in months, can you imagine how good the already savage album would have been had be finished it? Already 1 of the best albums in the world, and it would only have been better

A few weeks ago friends from Ireland told me about Glen Hansard and The Frames, who are still unknown here in Germany. I went through the web for some more information and that`s where I got to know Mic`s music. I listened to some bootlegs and was deeply impressed by this wonderful music. Of course I was trying to get the Skylarkin-Album. But there`s no chance to buy it in Germany. Is there anybody who can tell me where I can receive it?
You know, I NEED to have it ;-)

    Hello Friends,
For those looking for the Skylarkin CD, like I was this morning, it appears to still be available from Ireland and here is the URL:

    http://www.roadrecs.com/index.php

I just found out about Mic today as I was researching Lisa Hannigan. And then to find out that such a beautiful talent was taken from his family, friends and fans so early. Tragic. I too was born in 1969 and Mic's passing at such a young age...I am so sorry for his family who I see still keep Mic's official site running. I lost a good friend the same way Mic passed away so this hit close to home. I hope the CD I ordered this morning shows up and allows me to experience what so many of you in Ireland and in Europe go to while this gem was alive.

    Take care,
    Mike Howley

You're best bet is to ask on The Frames forum, I'm sure someone over there will have copies.

Hi there a mate of mine put me onto the live on campus version of "Whole of the moon" pure savage version barely begins to describe it. I have been looking to find the chords the guys use as it would be great to play but sadly no sign of them yet. What I did find was a download for the song at www.downloads.nl/music/Glen+Hansard+&+Mic+Christopher

If anyone does find the album it would be a great buy if the rest of the songs are as good as this one. Let us know if anybody does find it. Cheers lads, have a good one!
