    Hi.

Would the odds be less for getting all 6 numbers in the Irish Lotto vs 5 numbers + 1 Star in the Euro Millions?

    Thanks.

Hi racso1975. How did you get the 1/6.99 million?

Worth also considering just aiming for 'HotPick' 2/3/4/5 in the Euromillions.
Bookies offer decent odds on all 2/3/4 markets.

If you can access certain markets can get (guaranteed, non-shared) 1mill for just 5 balls (no stars req'd) from a stake of 1.50.

It's probably the only lotto market to g'tee millionare status from 5balls. The odds aren't ideal, but where else can you get the OTE 1m. You can also get a very small edge by availing of the LOLN and using typical spread/range patterns.

Whereas if you aim for 6 on lotto.ie, the amount of winnings can be variable, and may be shared.

Will a bookie pay a million out on the lotto?

Some of the larger ones may e.g. B'365. Otherwise about 200k usually.

The certain market I was referring to is the Camelot crowd across the water: https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/games/euromillions-hotpicks
via a relative, associate, or even possible virtual IP UK-ping.

It's only a matter of time before the hotpicks thing is introduced in Ire, as they're loosing punters to the bookies who do weekly Pick3 on both regular and euro lottos.

Hi Elsa Odd Spokesperson. Thanks for the info. Does OTE stand for 'opportunity to earn'?

Yep, guess it should be OT(W)in.

Worth keeping an eye on jacools thread also: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057942198

I was using upto 20 methodologies for hotpicking the eurmills last year (lots of singles/doubles), narrowed it down to about 5-7 methods more recently.

Hoping for some Euromills flavour tonight (Tue 9pm) along the lines of:

    Double: 17 / 47 (100)
    Triple: 20 / 35 / 48 (1.5k)
    Quad: 18 / 33 / 40 / 47 (30k)
    Quintuple: non-disclosed. (1m)

Stopped doing euromillions after seeing the odds in bookies. My 5 numbers on a 20cent super Yankee is cheaper per draw and have won 500 euro in the last 12 months. Can't say I won that amount in all of my lottery winnings.

Bigger jackpots mean smaller returns on the lesser prize's. Good riddance to the lottries.
