    Does anybody have a link to an article or video on the syndicate that bought lottery tickets in bulk in the 80's in Ireland. I remember a documentary about it on RTE once but I can't find it through a Google search.

    Remember a story about it, think it was only the Ire lotto, and when there was a whole lot less numbers to pick from.
    Occured whereby total spend covers all prize events, and is less total cost, that the offered prize. Even that carried risk of sharing jackpot.

    Any potential advantage in replicating this, in the Ire/Euro or other global lottos, even with massive roll-overs, does no longer exist.
    e.g. EMills is now 130/1 odds, with shop ticket price €2.50 (w/o plus draw) means prize would have to be (singular, non-shared) win of over €325m.
