I'm not overweight but even I wouldn't look good or feel confident in wearing a sports bra and cycling shorts to stand infront of people for them to look at me. (I'd wear shorts and a singlet in the summer running but i know no one is going to be looking at me!).

On the finale night they should show them in the bra and shorts with a side by side comparison of their starting picture. You would really see how they have changed. But instead they put them in outfits with spanx underneath. I do think the makeover at the end helps with their confidence but I do think there should also be a before and after in the bra/shorts.

A lot of them could relate to this.

That's not sustainable, for so many reasons.

I like it though, when things don't go to plan.
Such is life, and it makes them more relatable to us mere mortals.

    The gaggin soggy vegetable plan

I thought he should have been given no target loss next week. Throwing food in a bin is not a sustainable way of losing weight. You'll end up with an eating disorder.

One can easily change textures of good food like veg.

If Tanya gives up coke and does nothing else, she'll lose weight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,722 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Coming off the coke and withdrawal symptoms, surely she should have been told to replace the caffeine from the coke with tea.

I think the bigger issue is his attitude towards them. He's decided before it goes near his mouth that he's not going to like it.

    3 inches lost!

Just shows how bad fizzy drinks are.
Mind you I love a can of freezing coke when I'm hungover

You'd wonder about the efficacy of awareness programmes. A seemingly smart, well rounded person has to get on a TV programme to be told a tray of coke cans a day is bad for you.
And that guy needs more than talking heads to get to the bottom of the way he eats. Weird.

Like everything it's all about moderation, as bad as fat Coke is a can every now and again won't hurt.

I found that weird. He was acting like a 5 year old child.

Jesus I thought they were incredibly harsh on the guy who lost 17lbs.
Carrot (literally) rather than stick would probably work better

How much did Tanya lose please?
    I missed that.

Ah no. The way he described healthy food and threw it in the bin. Poor attitude and bad example of how to be healthy.

I'd say he needs professional help if a small bit of a vegetable is sending him to vomit. His eating hasn't progressed past childhood.

12ib is a massive loss for a woman, done properly too.

I agree but he seems kind of fragile I thought they could have said it in a nicer way.

I thought that I heard them say that he has sensory issues with food??

That's true too. He's not in a great place mentally. None are but yes, particularly him.

I suppose I hate seeing good food being binned by an adult. The way he did it you'd know he never was in want!

He has no issues if there's 5 spoons of sugar on it though.
