Any non-religious Advent calendars out there for kids? (aged 10 to 13)

I'm a little lost regarding what you looking for.
Is it just one the doesn't say Advent?

If somebody was after something similar The Meaningful Chocolate company would be your best bet.
The poster is looking for non-religious calendars I think!
Yup, I do know the history of Christmas. It's something of a specialist subject of mine. ;)

Actually I am not sure what these Advent calendars are now - I thought they were countdown to Christmas calendars where there were religious pictures behind every day box. But a quick google shows me that there is often more than pictures behind the day box, I see chocolates and treats. I guess most "Advent" calendars aren't religious anymore which is fine.

It all depends on the advent calendar I know sometimes I've seen angels/etc behind doors.
My advice would if you wanted to avoid this would be to buy a wooden one/etc in a shop that you put the sweets into yourself!

The 'normal' advent calendars- cadbury, lindt, galaxy etc just have chocolates, not Jesuses, Marys or Josephs! :pac:

If anyone spots a galaxy advent calendar will you please let me know where. I can’t find them anywhere

I remember the very first advent calendar that came into our house......fadó fadó.... was the religous type. I can't swear to it, but I don't think advent calendars were a 'thing' here back then. We had Swiss neighbours and they brought a present of one - the outside was a nativity scene and each door you opened had a picture of an angel or donkey or a shepherd etc, building up to the baby jesus on Christmas Day. When Christmas was over, my mother insisted all the doors we closed and it was put away safely for next year! It lasted for years......no wonder I remember it.
I also remember getting a couple of the ones with chocolates as presents from the same people in later years......they were a real treat at the time!
I'm 42 btw, so probably talking about 35ish years ago!!

Was passing by a Cards n Things recently and spotted what I think was a Fulfill advent calendar.

Not sure what price it is or anything but it might be nice if you've any friends or family who like their bars.
I think an advent calendar as it was with other advent calendars, but I can check this week to be sure.
I hadn't seen these since I posted the above posts, until yesterday, in Dunnes, I spotted them.
