https://www.ernestjones.co.uk have a very decent sale , with loads of Seiko Divers.

They dont deliver to Ireland but i called the shop in Liffey Valley and got this ssc675p1 for €270. Its generally around the €500 mark anywhere else, and is €360 from creation watches.

Looking through Ernest Jones there I saw the finance option and it occurred to me that I don't think I've ever seen anyone offering watches on finance here, are there places that I've just never seen?

For the Seiko heads this might be a good deal, i'm not into seiko though so i've no idea, just saw it over on HUKD.

Same here. :) I dunno about that Omega. My Personal opinion? It's too small even for the 1960's(which it does seem to be from). Actually especially for the 1960's as watch sizes were growing overall. For me and I have scrawny wrists I'd not go below 35mm as a rule. Not at that kinda money. And I wouldn't go gold plated either. It wears faster and looks cheaper. As a general rule go for steel.

He's not overcooking the price too much to be fair, though again IMHO for that size in gold plate? Nope. Omega attract higher values because of more recognition in the general public's eye and they are quality as well of course.

For over a hundred quid less, you could get this Omega. A watch with more wrist presence at 38mmx42mm and with a more interesting movement and in stainless steel and a chronometer and if you get tired of it will have higher resale value.

    s-l1600.jpg

The movement is electronic not quartz, it's a tuning fork movement that has a very interesting history and will be more accurate and the cool thing is it hums it doesn't tick and the seconds hand is very smooth in movement. If it were my money that's more the kinda thing I'd be looking at.

That's a pure slobber for me, gorgeous

I enquired with Hartmanns in galway about finance about 2 years ago and they said at the time that finance isn't available on Jewellery/watches. I see now tho a few places offering it through Flexifi or whatever their name is.

These are seriously good watches. I had the pepsi flavour for a while and I loved it on a rubber strap. 20mm lugs means you can put any standard strap on it.

I particularly liked it on the one that comes as standard with the BFK's, which is Seiko 4KR3JZ, fantastic value and available from all over the place for around 30 euros.

Two weeks ago...this is my collection and I always like to keep my modified amphibian.

John.....don’t buy the premium blue... the difference in colour between the dial and bezel ruins the watch.

Also why don’t you use the 13 k you got for the hulk to pay all the people you scammed?

States that it sold for 4.3k with no box or papers, that's a risky buy for me without those.

Fake box and papers can be bought for 100 quid easily that would fool 90 percent of people.

I can’t get my head around the paperwork for the service that has been provided.

    Sold now anyway!

Is the watch strap good for those with large wrists?

They paid €880 for the service. That’s a crazy price !!. My Explorer II is over with Rolex at the moment. I posted it to them directly. The invoice for the service is for £412.50 (€460) .
Almost 1/2 the price Weir’s charged him.

How tough is it to get an Explorer II in an AD? As difficult as other models?

There's a 2018 one on adverts for a good price too

Out of interest where did you get the address? The rolex store here sends it to a 'swiss watch specialist' and charges you an arm and leg.

They're getting harder to come by, but it's nothing like the Daytonas, Subs or GMTs. Notable that the last two times I was in Keanes they didn't have one. Whereas before they were always present.

Was in weirs at the weekend and the salesman told me that now all that is left in rolex is precious Day dates, two tone date justs (yellow gold and stainless) all the airkings, milgauss, white metal datejusts, precious daytonas and two tone subs are long gone. Basically if you want a watch that is white metal your out of luck, all lists are closed for SS sports..

...on a side note they have a JLC Turbuillion and a lovely zenith defy 21....the salesman didnt have a clue about the zenith and how cool its caliber is. There was one round stainless Patek and a bunch of worldtimes and caltrava's.

Off another watch forum and from their website. They have a service centre in London. Give them a call, I found them very helpful.

Likewise, I went direct to them and they were great. The front door is quite tricky to navigate as it's very discreet but once inside the customer service people were super.

I just waited until I was next in London, dropped it in and they couriered it back to me a few weeks later.

This photo of the front door is from Google Maps. It doesn't look very inviting and the lack of door handles or visibility inside are off putting (deliberately I'm sure) but you'll notice that over the door there is a sensor so you just walk up to the doors and whoosh they open. I hadn't spotted the sensor when I was there a couple of years ago so felt a bit silly walking towards what looks like a blacked out window but after scouting both sides of the building I eventually figured out that had to be the entrance.

    Hope that helps.
