    Hi

I am looking for recommendations for a soundbar for my 43" LG TV, which is a few years old at this stage (LG43UUJ750V).  The tv is in the corner of the room which has a very high pitched ceiling.  I have been considering the Sony HT G700 or the Sonos Beam and wondering which one of these you would recommend, or if there is anything else you would recommend.  Also do you have any info on the JBL 5.0 Multibeam which is due to be released this spring?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Shadow88,

    Thanks for the post!

Between the two soundbars you have chosen I would recommend the Sony as it would give you a better sound for films with the wireless sub! The Sonos Beam is a great soundbar as well but would lack the depth of the Sony. The Sonos will allow you to built upon it with additional speakers and subs so if this is an important feature in the future it would be the better buy but purely for sound quality I'd go with the Sony.

I haven't seen anything about the JBL Multibeam 5.0 just yet but I'll certainly keep my eye out!

    Kind regards

    David

    Thanks David

Not looking to add a load of speakers etc, really just want to get a better sound for movies, sports and general tv viewing. Sounds like the Sony would be better than the Sonos.

Is the Sony the best at that price range or is there anything better that you would recommend?

    Thanks

    Hi Shadow88,

Thanks for gteting back to me!

If you can go a wee bit higher I'd recommend the Klipsch Cinema 400 which would give an incredible sound quality.

Let me know what you think of this option.

    Thanks David

Think I’ll go with the Sony HT G700 over the Klipsch cinema 400, although can I just check whether the price has gone up, I’m sure it was at €349 yesterday but now it’s at €399, which is the same as the Klipsch cinema 400?

    Thanks

    Hi Shadow88,

Thanks for getting back to me!

It actually had - it's gone up from 345 euro to 399 euro but I'd be happy to honour the lower price as it's only been a day!

    Kind regards

    David
