As far as i recall they need a win to guarantee final spot. We need 2 and a dublin fuuck up iirc

Well a draw will do them too...

TBH we've only pretty much a mathematical possibility of making the final.

    Mayo

It’s Mayo’s game against Kerry that has the potential to throw the cat amongst the pigeons.Should Mayo win and follow that up with a win over Monaghan, they’d find themselves on ten points.Although the first tie-breaker for teams level on points should be the head to head result, the possibility of Dublin,Galway,Mayo and possibly even Kerry ending up level on points means that points difference would be used to split the teams. Two big wins would be needed to bridge that current gap.

    https://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-games/gaelic-football/allianz-national-football-league-permutations-its-two-from-five-with-kerry-and-dublin-favourites-to-make-final-37873770.html

I'd be more than happy with a definite upward trajectory in terms of performance and two wins thrown in to boot.

Not too much to ask for.:D

A new away jersey will be worn on Saturday. Some shade of blue by the looks of it.

So that's what the big reveal on the Mayo GAA twitter account was about.

I was quite found of the current away jersey.

Isn`t this whole new jerseys thing running into the realms of soccer jersey financial overkill.

It's great to see an all Mayo Connacht GAA Colleges A final on Friday night in MacHale Park.

My alma mater St. Gerald's College Castlebar take on the pride of Claremorris St. Colman's College.

    Throw in is 19.00.

Cracking first half played in poor conditions.

    St. Gerald's College 1-7
    St. Colman's College 0-10

Some excellent scores from play most especially the Claremorris lads, top quality direct foot passing.

St. Gerald's will have the benefit of the wind in the second half.

Hill 16 eat your heart out the St. Colman's ultras have stolen a march on you.

A yellow snow warning for Donegal? I think I'll steer clear:P

I know right, nothing would surprise me with the GAA though, they'll make a decision after throw in time 😂

    Full time

    St. Gerald's College 1-11
    St. Colman's College 0-15

    Deserved win for St. Colman's.

They had that little bit more quality in an excellent contest in the midst of incessant rain.

St. Gerald's were cleaned out in the middle of the park.Kudos in particular to Cillian Golding.Their foot passing and ability to take scores from play oft from distance was equally impressive.

Their number 13 from Mayo Gaels is lovely footballer.

Great credit to both sets of players,a credit to the colleges and families.

Liking the look of that team.

Is there a tacit admission in Aidan O Shea's selection in midfield that we're struggling in that sector and that it might be his most suited role?

Of course I'm reading too much into a solitary team selection.

Hopefully Conor Loftus can make it difficult for James Horan to deselect him.

I'd like to see a lot more from Stephen Coen.

    Is Paddy still injured?

It is definitely our biggest problem area, imo, and will come into sharper focus in the championship. I don't know if putting aidan there long term will actually solve that problem.

It's time for him to start pushing on otherwise he is not quite good enough.
He needs to stop been a passenger and start to offer a real threat. Big game for him and Durcan.

I doubt it. Safe driving, there's a fair bit of flash floods on the motorway down.
