I could never justify spending more than €30/€40 on headphones. In that regard, the Outliers at €24 are one of my favourite purchases - I think they're perfect for regular use.

Was a big Creative fan back in the day.

I changed the buds and they definitely sit better in my ear. Depending on what phone you are using, there could be pre-set equaliser you need to change for these headsets.

I changed my phone last night away from a Samsung, so will let you know if the Bluetooth issue still exists!

I genuinely think that would be the worst place. They aren't officially on sale in China until the 11th (So will go on sale ina few hours). I would guess maybe Joybuy or Aliexpress recognised Xiaomi stores.

And there are many others I am sure will be linked to.

Seems to be mainly AptX and 7 hours playback time.

Got the Creative outlier black just before xmas so have had a few weeks to try them out, got to say they are the best 35 Euro i spent in a long time, delighted with the sound for a low cost wireless headphone, they fit perfect and no problems after wearing them for a few hours, i know there not noise cancelling but whilst wearing them listening to music i find outside noise is very limited, also the battery is fantastic will last all day on a full charge,

All in all well happy with them, they have gone up 48 Euro now but still worth it at that price

    Accidentally deleted original post.
The Airpods pro RRP is €50 - €60.

I still would not be in a hurry to get them, but Banggood are down to €79 with code 502C6B for the airdots pro.

trying to order a pair of SlimBuds off Amazon and it's telling they can't be delivered to my address. Anybody know why that is?

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be any items that have any reason for specifically being undeliverable. For example, items in the AnkerDirect store are hit and miss. It does not seem to be by price or item type.

I did at first, but when I made another call and was quite loud on the phone it seemed ok. I had an hour call yesterday and no complaints but I need to do a proper test

What do people think are best for all round use - a mix of music, Netflix during travel, long phone calls, but probably not too often during sports (I only really cycle so headphones not great for that)

I'm thinking of ordering a pair of Bose SoundSport Free today, but also have the option of JBL Free, Sony WF SP700 or Jabra Elite 65T.

    Any thoughts?

Personally, for travel and music I prefer over ear headphones.

In ear earphones can get uncomfortable after extended use I find, even ones that are fairly comfortable to begin with. I would also go with headphones that can be wired when the battery dies or is dying (most can anyway).

6 ratings for that company in total looks suspicious

Bought these guys on sale in Hardly Normal (€34) there a couple of weeks back and so far they're great. Really good sound for the price, no connectivity issues. But that's just on about a week and a half of use.

I've had several pairs of Skull Candy wireless headphones. I generally find they don't last that long so have moved on from them. Sound never an issue though, nice and clear.

Really annoying feature with the Creative earphones. When the battery drops below a certain level it constantly beeps (I'm still using 15 minutes after the first beep and still no sign of them dying).

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,257 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

I buy every generation of Taotronics Bluetooth headsets..

Never spent more than twenty quid on them and they are excellent.

I'm sure they've already been mentioned

Are the Toatronics (or any of the round the neck types) any good for running? I've been using a cheap pair of a similar style earphone the last week or 2 for running and find I have to tuck the inline controller into my hat which is a bit of a pain.

I never get more than 10 minutes out of them after they start beeping.

Yeah weirdly I got 25 minutes. I'd prefer a double beep when you turn them on if less than an hour, and a long beep if less than 30 minutes, and that's it. I don't need to reminded every minute they are dying!
